CBA Recommends Fed Use “Opt-Out” Option in Overdrafts/Debit Hold Rule  More than 20 banks participated in a conference call about the Federal Reserve’s proposed rule that would cover transactions that trigger overdrafts and debit card holds. The purpose of the call was to provide CBA’s government relations team with input on preparing a comment letter in response to the proposal.

GSRBM: Transforming the First-Session Curriculum  This summer, first-year students at the Graduate School of Retail Bank Management will experience a new curriculum format that allows students to learn through active hands-on application, instead of learning exclusively through classroom lectures. 

Federal Takeover of Student Loans a Grave Mistake  Budget resolutions recently passed by the House and Senate allow for the enactment of an Obama administration proposal to cease new student loan guarantees in the Federal Family Education Loan program as of June 30, 2010. Under the proposal, all new student loans would be made under the Direct Loan program using federal funds borrowed through the Department of the Treasury.
